Have you or someone you know recently lost their job and group health insurance coverage? Are you wondering what your Greensboro Medicare Insurance Options are? What about health insurance options if you’re under 65?

At The Insurance Coach, we have received a lot of calls from clients, friends, and family who recently lost a job and their health insurance benefits. While this time is troubling and confusing, we put together a brief video explaining your Greensboro Medicare Insurance Options for those who recently lost their job and group health insurance benefits. While this video below mainly addresses health insurance options for age 65 and over, there are also solutions for under 65 as well.

For those who are getting ready to turn 65 or recently turned 65, Medicare offers a viable solution for your health insurance needs. To begin the process you will need to file for Medicare Part B. Below are links to the Medicare.gov site to get the forms you’ll need.

What about health insurance options for those under 65?

If you are under 65, your options are 1) Cobra which allows you to continue with your employer’s plan, but you pay the full premium. Cobra can be a very expensive option. 2) Healthcare.gov is the ACA site where you can see if you are eligible for individual health insurance coverage. Healthcare.gov can be a more affordable solution, but the coverage may not match up with your current coverage. 3) Another affordable option is Short Term Health insurance. These plans are designed to be temporary health insurance solutions. Short Term Health Insurance plans can provide coverage up to 1 year and are renewable if needed, but may involve answering some health questions. Short term health care can also cover vision and dental insurance benefits too.
